Travel Trailer Insurance

Who do you use for insurance of your Travel Trailer? Do you use the same company for Auto/Home? Have you shopped prices? If so, what did you find?

For the first time in 20 years I am shopping all my insurance around and the RV rates seem odd.

I currently pay $736/year through Allstate. I was quoted $596 from State Farm. I used the Progressive website and got a quote of $316. Tried using Gieco but it said I must have auto policy with them to get RV quote.

This is for my 2014 Outback Terrain 250TRS.

Insurance rates can vary wildly depending on where exactly you are in the country, the company, and your particular situation. In some places you can get full coverage for a little over $100 while in other parts of the country it will easily set you back $1000+ annually.

You aren't that far away from me and I would say that $736 is quite steep on a '14 Outback around these neck of the woods. When I looked, Progressive ended up being the cheapest for me so that's who I'm with. I would take the rate that Progressive is offering you as it looks like a good one. If you bundle then you can save even more.

Our policy is much less with USAA than with others mentioned. We have gieco for our auto. I shop around every vehicle I get. You never know who will be cheapest.
