Travel Trailer Repair - Southern AZ - Terrible Experience

I recently had my Suburban Furnace replaced due to rodent damage by Fisher RV in Tucson. My insurance company paid him before it was done. which was a mistake. It took Fisher RV over 3 months to complete the joba and when I picked it up and tested it it did not work. I took it back and he kept it another week and it still does not work. He installed an Atwood even though his estimate showed a Suburban I guess my only recourse is to sue him which is the last thing in the world I want to do This simple replacement has turned in to one of the worst repair experiences I have ever had.
The replacement was $1,500. installed which I believe to have been an inflated figure.

This is a word of caution. I give Fisher RV a grade of F minus.
  • In hindsight always best to pay no more than half the total estimate in advance of work being done.

We had an awful service experience with our fridge not working on gas only. It cost us $450. I was tempted to sue them but stood back and thought what the emotional frustration cost of continuing the back and forth saga with the service center would be. Or just cut my loss and move on. I decided to Write to the better business bureau and the company management left it at that. In hindsight it was the right decision for my situation. They have since gone out of business.

Yes I was out $450 but I learned my lesson about full payment in advance. Good luck on your decision and hope all works out.
  • Good job! If all RVers would share this kind of information, it would be of great service to the rest of us as we RV down the road:)
