I order my 2017 dually specifically with 3.55 as that was the lowest number they would build.
Even I was considering some gear shifting on long grades, since I bought the truck I moved from California to Las Vegas and used the truck to haul 7000 lb wide body cargo trailer.
The 440 HP engine with this differential pulled all those 12-15 miles long grade on overdrive.
So my impression is that 4:30 is having in mind those double decker trailers that can haul 5 cars at the time.
