The new panel and frame are made from a more flexible plastic. The new white cover panel looks much nicer. I had to do some simple modification to make the new panel frame fit the existing opening using a multitool saw. I just used DICOR lap sealant to seal the frame edges applying a thick bead around the perimeter of the cover, then setting it in place, screwing it in, then cleaning off the excess caulk with a finger, trowel, and cleaning up the remaining with paper towels and paint thinner.
Looks much better.
