Was cleaning out a shed when I came across the torklift tiedowns, fast guns and 4' superhitch truss for my Lance. Stood there looking at them and remembered how much I missed the TC. Had to give it away to a guy who said that he may put it on a flatbed. The interior looked brand new but the structure, especially where the stable lift was fastened to, just had too much water damage to safely load and unload :( . I really miss having a TC, but after that the DW won't even consider one. Got a thousand bucks from the insurance company, but don't even like to think about that :M :M Great memories though. Guess I'll just put them on craigslist so I don't have to be reminded of what I no longer have. Gary

Wife and I had a TC in 2002 -- before kids. We loved it and still talk about it. It was a Lance but forget the model (8 something). It was a 1992 model, and we paid $600 for it. Got from original owner -- and was Garage Kept ! IT was so nice, and yet only lasted us a year until she popped with our 1st yung'un'. We've had TT's and now a C since. Thought it's nice to have the room in the larger units, I still fondly remember the time in our TC.

When we bought our fifth wheel in 2105, SWMBO insisted that we keep the TC. I am glad she did, as we purchased a boat this year and are we can go camping and boating without taking 2 vehicles.

We did the Pacific Coast for 6 weeks this spring in the 'C', which was nice, but we did not tow a car. Several times it would have been nice to drop the TC and use the truck to explore. The 'C' was just too much hassle to break camp, go explore then set up again. But it was great while we were moving. Used to tow the pontoon to Florida and back and used the supertrusss and it worked great. I sure hate to go through the hassle to sell the accessories(lookielous, and lowballers etc) but don't want to look at them just sitting there. Just no perfect RV-good and bad in each class. Gary

What year was your Lance? Don't the newer models have Aluminum frames so structural rot like that isn't an issue anymore?

Was an 05 1130. Bought it new in Feb 07. Put a stable lift on it in fall of 07. Didn't use it all that much, but had no shelter to store it. Thought I kept the roof sealed, but??? Was at daughter's house a couple years ago and smelled something musty-lifted the dinette seat and-MOLD :E. While loading it a couple months later I bumped the front lower corner and pieces of plywood fell out. It was all downhill from there. Gary

I know the feeling, only maybe worse.
I rebuilt our TC from end to end. It had the same problem as yours though, it just kept leaking and it eventually got so bad that the corners were beyond repair.
I ended up taking ot to the dump. Didn't have th heart to stick around and watch them crush it.
