Truck Campers in Las Vegas

I'm heading to Vegas next week for a tradeshow and will be staying at the Circus, Circus RV lot. From the satellite photos it doesn't look like I should expect much. Shade doesn't seem to be something they really care about... Has anyone stayed at this facility before and if so, are there any tips I should consider?

Secondly, for the weekend we are supposed to stay at one of the hotels and attend a time share sales pitch (yup, they suckered us in, gotta practice my defenses for their sales pitches...). Are there any issues to consider when parking an RV in the hotel parking lots if you are staying at the hotel?

My Las Vegas house peak at 112F today, but I am in FL trying to deal with Irma.
Beware that your TC AC will not keep it comfortable at those temperatures even if you manage to get some shade.
Take swimsuits and stay in the pool till sundown.
Circus Circus is clean and right in the center.Beware that the huge resorts look close down the street, but can be miles away. Las Vegas has lot of RV parks, but I doubt you will like to stay next to local fulltimers.
Nice resort is Oasis, but far away from everything.
With hotels, always ask where you can park over the phone as you don't want to pull in front of them and deal with crazy limo drivers.

WE stayed there as few years ago, nice and clean. There was some shade right down the back against the fence. That's if the fence area is still there. Have a great time.

Some timeshare parking lots aren't big enough for a truck with truck camper. I'd call ahead whether it is a timeshare or hotel.

On the timeshare pitch, there is a way out. IF you know what resort its for, look at craigslist and the aftermarket sales outlets where people get rid of those things, and print out a dozen or so ads for units at 10 cents on the dollar and show those to the salesman and if that doesnt spring you, start handing them out to the others attending, they will get you out quickly.

I've stayed there numerous times, no shade, but full hookups. Power and water are in plentiful supply. It's actually a very nice place to stay all things considered.

Try to get a spot not in the middle, stay on the outer areas, not as much traffic as the middle pull through spots.

As far as parking in the lot when staying at the hotel, I think as long as you let management know it should be fine. Otherwise they may think someone is boon docking there. At a minimum I would leave a note on the windshield with your first name and room number.
