It takes all kinds. The OP simply has not aged, RV-wise the way the rest of us have. It's a mental thing. He has no interest in camping comfort in the commonly held way. Fine with me. Minimalism has its place.
Seems we're all in the business of trying to 'sell' our particular set up or position; trying to convince others that we have made the right choices. I have news: there are no right choices, only choices. I proposed a question in College: "How do you bias your opinion?" The typical response was, "I have no bias". Dream on.
The best way for any thread to go away is to simply not respond.
Ironically, just by doing this I've perpetuated this thread a little longer.
It reminds me of the Shakespeare Play: "Much ado about nothing."
