RinconVTR -- thanks for the encouragement, you seem to understand my priorities. I realize that the primary focus of this forum is towing, so many of the comments will be from people who place highest value on the towing ability of the vehicle and less importance on everyday (non-towing use). If I wanted the best tow vehicle in this class, I'd probably select the Dodge Durango. But it only gets 18 MPG overall, and I'd like to do better than that since the majority of my annual use is not towing. Bottom line for me is, I want a vehicle that is capable of towing my trailer, but optimized for everyday non-towing use which means MPG, comfort, enjoyable to drive, etc. I don't want to over-do the towing ability and compromise my everyday experience.
