- BumpyroadExplorerI always add a tad just to get more room.
bumpy - SDcampowneroperExplorerIn our experience elsewhere and in our camp, site L X W measurements are of total useable space for rv and vehicles. No allowance for parking alongside on the grass.
Please respect the site design and park in the travel space.
If you need extra parking space for tow, towed or visitors vehicles the camp most certainly will have space nearby for vehicles you cannot fit on site. - dave54Nomad

Is there usually a separate parking area then for the truck?
Varies. Some sites are extra wide and you can park the truck alongside. Others you can park the truck parallel to the road and perpendicular to the TT next to the tongue. Still others will have extra vehicle parking spots scattered throughout the CG.
The described pad length is usually just the paved or flat portion. Sometimes you can back the rear part TT extending past the end of the pad if there are no trees or boulders in the way. These sites are not described as such in the CG layout page, and can be difficult to discern in Google Earth. These sites are the luck of the draw in site assignments. Of course once you know the campground and know which sites allow it... - AcdiiExplorerIs there usually a separate parking area then for the truck?

Is that just the trailer length they are asking for, or total length with tow vehicle?
Just the length from the rear bumper to front of the hitch. The only exception might be if you are just staying over night and don't want to unhook your RV. - AcdiiExplorerCool thanks. Thats what I thought, but wanted to make sure before I reserved a spot.
- korbeExplorerIf I need a spot that indicates that just my 5er will fit, I will take it since I can move my truck.
