These windows might not be safe replacements for an "escape" window. However, I recently saw a new trailer with screened escape windows which were still hinged on top but had a lever to tilt out the bottom. I forgot the trailer brand, but maybe somebody else knows it?
Until I can locate a suitable replacement, I use a paint mixing stick to prop the window open and a car window shade screen to keep out the bugs.
