I am thinking that a boat repair shop or fiberglass shop that deals with glue-ups might be better at this than a typical RV shop??
Possibly. Worth a try.
Boat shops also have good moisture meters which can tell the difference between dry fiberglass and water-logged fiberglass.
Fiberglass does absorb moisture, and you can tell if it's a water problem with a good moisture meter. That's how fiberglass sailboats hulls are surveyed for blisters and water intrusion (which is potentially what the OP has).
Still sucks for a less than 1 year old camper.

Well here is the latest news on the subject:
Originally, Camping World and El Toro RV Service both spoke with AMLRV who manufactures Eagle Cap and they both said that the described work can be done and that they would both perform the work as outlined by the manufacturer.
AMLRV will guarantee the repair work for the remainder of their 3-year structural warranty.
OR….They would do the repair at their plant in Yakima, WA but not reimburse me for any travel expenses to get there and back Yakima is 1,100 miles each way).
Today I brought the camper to Camping World.
Upon review, they stated that the suggested repair by AMLRV was not appropriate for the following reasons:
The possibility of piercing the fiberglass while drilling through the floor.
The uncertainty of the proper spreading of the glue.
They did not think it was appropriate that the interior of the camper be compromised in effecting the repair
Camping World is in agreement with my original email that the cap should be completely removed, the area inspected then re-attached to the camper properly.
Let me make this point, this is the first time anyone has actually seen the problem after it being only described to them, including the manufacturer.
I am currently composing a letter to Eagle Cap/AMLRV that I will share with their response.
Take it to your dealer, the dealer will ship it to EC.
I would, but I purchased the camper in Eugene OR and live in Southern California....original dealer is over 900 miles away.
There is however a dealer now in Ventura CA and somewhere in Northern California.

EC had an issue with dust and temp in the lam shop, don't know when but they pulled at least several campers from owners through dealers and shipped them back to EC. EC shut the lines down and did the repair work. My brother's camper was one of them, an 850 SB I think and he is going to the dealer to get it back tonight. don't settle for a cheap fix, things should be done right.

I WILL be keeping this conversation current with updates as to the progress I am making in having the problem fixed. Good or bad ending, I will make it known to Eagle Cap that the news will be on all the RV Boards....Eagle Cap/Truck Camper Magazine and so forth.
I will be calling Eagle Cap on Monday, and let you all know what I find out.
Thanks for ALL your input.
Now to figure out how to add a signature line and a photo of my rig. I would also like to post a video of the problem.
Thanks!!
