For this video I had a GoPro 4 silver with a suction mount to the high center of the windshield. For audio, I plugged a ROLAND stereo lapel microphone into the GoPro then clipped the R-L mics to either side of my visor for better sound. The second camera is my Samsung Galaxy S7 which I use for wandering video where the point of interest is. It works well between the two perspectives each camera presents. To time align the two videos, I get them both going then I clap hands to create an audio spike. I line up the two spikes and both videos are in sync. The editing software I use is Cyberlink Power Director Suite, whatever the latest version number is. I'm happy enough with it. There is also Corel, Pinnacle, and others that are similar. I will be upgrading my EOS 5D first generation to the new EOS 5D MARK VI that does video.
