Wallpaper roof or ??

Question

So I'm still rebuilding my old tc. This winter's been hard on her as far as the coating on the inside of the roof. This tc is around a '75 and the white "wallpaper" is peeling off.
What should I use to re-do the roof inside?
Wallpaper or ??
It all peeled off in the bunk area but now it's coming un-glued around the vent. No, the vent hasn't leaked but being 40 years old the glue's pretty much dried out.

Just saw a nice build that they used a carpet to cover the roof (same as I have in my TCer) and it went on very easy and looks great.  Added benefit of reducing noise as well.

I am remodeling my old "76" TC and am doing wallpaper on the ceiling. The key is to get all the old stuff scraped off... Then use a wall paper priming paint. I am using "paintable wallpaper"'
so I can tint the final paint a color.
