Want to drive through Mexico, looking for truck advice

I dont know a lot about vehicles, esp trucks. I have had 2 class C Chevy RVs that I sold because it seemed like something was always wrong with the chassis. I am looking at buying a 3/4 to 1 ton truck...

I dont have the time or knowledge required to do a conversion van and I would like to have a 4x4 vehicle. The conversion vans that are 4x4 are really expensive
