Water coming in at the wheel well

I'm looking for some guidance to help solve a leaky situation we have with our 2005 Skyline Nomad.

Last time we took it out we had a wet spot at the back side of the slide out where it meets the main trailer. The walls were dry and I coudldnt find any spot where it was coming in from above, everything is pretty well sealed and in good shape.

We've camped plenty in the rain, and have it open a lot in our back yard... never had a leak but this was the first time I drove it in the rain. The wet spot is right above the back end of the wheel well.

I climbed underneath it and took a look where the water would be splashing up from the wheels.

Hopefully this picture is clear enough that everyone has an idea what I'm looking at... The slide out edge is right where those squeegee seals are. It seems like there's something missing. There's a big ol' hole i can stick my fingers up in... Definitely explaining how an occasional wasp might be getting in.

What does everyone else have there sealing the slide out when its closed up? Is there a crush type seal missing?
  • I have the same problem (except mine is leaking at the front of the slide) so will be watching this thread with interest.
  • Here's another pic of that same area when its closed up looking strait back from the wheels. Still not very clear exactly what your looking at, but its the best I can do... not much room to get my phone up in there.
