Water Damage?

My husband and I purchased a 2011 Keystone Bullet a week ago. I am literally sick to my stomach. We paid a nice chunk of money for this thing. Yesterday I was putting sheets on the bed and I noticed that the wallpaper on one side of the bedroom wall looks like this. I was absolutely confused because we did not see this when we walked through the camper several times before we bought it. Apparently when the weather is cold these "wrinkles" go away and then when its very hot like it was yesterday the glue heats up and they appear again and I am assuming this is why we didnt see them before. I am almost certain its water damage. This camper is in perfect condition and the people we purchased it from stored it inside. How can we tell if this is old?

    After reading the thread, I'd say the wrinkled wall paper might be caused from internal condensation from occupants in the camper without adequate ventilation.

    We had the same problem in 2 small areas of our wallpaper on the back of a dinette bench and the wall above(both in the slide out). What I did was cut the wallpaper straight down with an exacta knife peeled the loose wall paper back, reapplied some good quality Weldbond glue and replaced the folded wall paper back over the reglued area. It has held perfectly and you have to look very hard to see where the repair was done. The cut back and reglued area almost looks like the natural grain in the wallpaper. I did small areas at a time to accomplish this. The repair has stayed for over 2 years now.
    You may want to try a small area on one of your less visible walls to see if this might work for you.

    That does not appear to be water damage from what I can see on the internet. It does look like the wallpaper has warped or been at some point "wet" but it could be a 100 different things. Checking for active moisture is what you need to do and if its dry, hit the camper hard with a hose around that same area outside and see if it changes. If not, its probably just normal wear and tear on a used camper.

    You will have to check with the manufacturer for the luan. It's luan made with a vinyl wallcovering panel. Sometimes RV surplus carries older stock if dealer can't get it.

    This makes me feel a tiny bit better. The wall is not spongy and there is no smell of mold or mildew. It sounds like we are going to need a moisture detector to see if this is wet before tearing anything apart. Being that its a 2011 I wonder what the odds are of finding the matching wallpaper? I would really like to replace it with the same if possible.

    Second what Diazr2 says about it being the glue. The wallpaper is glued to the luan substrate (or whatever they use) and over time the glue can degrade. This can cause the wallpaper to bubble or wrinkle. I have a 1991 SixPac slide in camper. When I got it, the wallpaper was peeling and bubbling on almost all the walls. I pulled off the loose stuff, used a heat gun to remove the remainder, then painted the walls. It turned out fine.

    Don't be too certain that it is water damage it could be a whole bunch of things and not water damage. Does the wall feel spongy when you touch it? If not it just might be the glue they used to put it on or it might be the wall paper or it might be all kinds of things and not water damage. Could have gotten something spilled on it at one point and now just does that because the glue has been compromised.
