- downtheroadExplorerIf all fuses are ok...have you tried pushing the "Reset" buttons?
- jc1843ExplorerAre the batteries OK-??- it needs 12 volts to run the heater.
- cyberiankhatruExplorerBatteries good. Have propane. Unaware of reset so will look at that. Thanks! It's been a crazy weekend so far. Flat tire on truck, furnace came on with a/c running at 6am yesterday. Never had that happen. And Now no hot water!!! Still better than work!
- BB_TXNomadIt needs 12 vdc to heat on propane. It needs 120 vac to heat on electric.
- cyberiankhatruExplorerThanks DowntheRoad! That worked.
- downtheroadExplorerYou are welcome...glad to help.
and I appreciate the feedback. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIF pushing the reset buttons worked for both electric and propane one has to ask "WHY did they trip?"
Those reset buttons are for the High Temp T-stats. They only need reset when they have OPENED on high temp (170*F)
That occurs when the normal t-stat doesn't open (130*F) and stop the heating cycle.
High temp trip/reset usually means normal t-stat has failed.
Both electric & propane needing reset :H - cyberiankhatruExplorerI had another issue with the power that required I unplug the camper a couple of times as well. I cut off the gas for safety and to appease my wife. Somehow that tripped the reset. All worked fine after the power issue was resolved. Thanks everyone. Was a rough start but turned into a memorable trip with a lesson learned on the side!
