Water Heater Replacement

I purchased a 2008 Jayco Jay Flight model 30BHS. I need to have the water heater replaced but the previous owner installed a tank-less water heater.

Does anyone know what the original water heater make and model for this travel trailer is? - It is stored about 30 miles away and as this is my first travel trailer I'm not sure if/where I would find this information.

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Not a bad idea if the OP has the room. Most rigs that size come with 6 gal.

  • I too would like to know why you're replacing it. Lots of people come on the forum to ask about them and your real-world experience could be helpful for the next person. It would be great to know what brand/model and why it didn't work out.

    Thanks,

  • Measure the outside opening, Atwood and Suburban are different sizes. Compare the measurement to both to be sure.
  • Probably the same as my 2005 (Atwood GC6AA-10E) 6 gallons gas direct spark ignition (DSI) or electric.

Look on you monitor panel and see if you have two water heater switches, one for gas and one for electric. If so then the one above is probably what you need.
