I would like to get some opinions from others who wax their RV as to what brand and type of wax they use.

I'm just south of you in Liberty. Our 5th wheel gets a lot of southern exposure on one side. It has oxidized badly. I tried every easy magic spray on-wipe off sold I think. I started compounding it with Chemical Guys Heavy Boat Compound and a Porter Cable buffer. It helped a little. I went over it with Klasse One and Done and that helped a little more. But it still is ugly.
All that said my advice would be to use whatever you like but use it often. I know it's hard to do in Houston summers. Only an hour or 2 before dark when it's physically possible to do much work.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I am the OP and i am gonna try the Nu-Finish first just because i already have some.

If i do not like the results or the work it takes then on to another suggestion.

You'll like NuFinish, but it's a little more work than some of the spray on stuff listed above as other pointed out. Hard to beat it for durability. I used it for years on the cars and trailer.

3M Marine cleaner and wax, similar to the other marine cleaners waxes, and a Harbor freight varible speed buffer, with 3m or Meguiar's Wool bonnet. I used it on my boat, and it would hold up to a season of salt spray and fish blood.

The car gets washed about twice a month and the rv about the same when we are traveling. There are some video reviews on You Tube and they are very positive. Any rain or water beads up on the surface of the car and rv. I doubt that it lasts as long as NuFinish, but then I used to take hours to wax the car or rv with NuFinish.

Good info, thanks.

Asking about wax brand on an enthusiast forum is like asking which motor oil.
I suspect that Mort B is correct when he states it's the frequency of application that's most important. I've used various Meguires products on the trailer ( it's what I use on the trucks, cars and motorcycles ) and I have also used plain old inexpensive Turtle Wax on the trailer.

I've settled on Turtle wax applied and buffed off with a rotary buffer as my choice.

So in the this thread we have learned that Dennis H is really brave when the "boss" isn't around ๐Ÿ˜‰ , and that owl poop is the standard to compare.

Sounds like a product worth trying. Yes, NuFinish takes a little work, but gets high marks for lasting a long time. How long does Slick Mist last?

also a fan of collonite. its a bit of work getting it ready but seems to do a great job. Also dont forget the Aerospace 303 on vinyl decals, tires, plastic window/door trim and fenders also. Once you try that stuff you will be buying it in bulk for all your vehicles.
