What are those extra bolts for I asked myself....

Traded in my Ram 2500 gasser for a diesel and the dealer agreed to take off the camper mounts for me. Fast forward a couple of weeks and I’m doing a hardware inventory prior to installation and I come up with 6 extra 9/16 bolts that are not listed. Come to find out that the genius who took off the rear Torklift brackets didn’t put those bolts back on. There are 4 on each side holding the bumper (and whatever else) on and the trade in was actually on the lot when I brought this to their attention yesterday. Yep, they confirmed it t was missing all those bolts. They even joked about what could have happened if someone had tried to tow with it. I told them I didn’t see the humor in that.

Yes, and that is using his head for a hat rack.

  • X2 You need something to fumble with while looking for your keys. First of all the genius didn't put the bolts back then they missed that when readying it for the lot. Methinks the service manager has a problem.
  • Find out who insures the dealer and let them know about how causal they are about safety.
  • Is this going to be another thread about job ethics?
We can make whole book about it.
