What did you do to your Camper Today?

After a good washing yesterday I got up early (while the camper is in the shade and the temp has not exceeded 100--yet) to put a good coat of Meguiar's Marine/RV one step Cleaner Wax on. I'm a huge fan of Aerospace 303 and use that in-between full waxes. I think it has made a huge difference in keeping the gel coat shiny.

Here's a pic of my nose cap half waxed and half not waxed. Where its parked during non-use the Nose Cap and roof gets the most sunlight.

I was pleased with the contamination that came off the gel coat. I still have some strong bug marks but overall it looks great - all finished and polished! The decals are showing their age! In the heat of the hot summers I get small ripples at the top of the cap. Anyone seen that before?

Hmm, not today but a couple days ago I replaced all the seals in the water lines, and made a custom suction line with a two way valve so I can use my pump to winterize now. Still have to put a bypass kit on the hot water heater but I'll do that when I have to winterize as I have to take the lines off then anyways.

The STABLE CAMPER arrived the other day.
It will be installed shortly.
Easy install.
Easy to use.
Will help take a lot of the movement out when the tc is off the truck.
When we are going to stay at a site for awhile we usually take the tc off the truck.

Still working on the resto-mod. Got mt aluminum spool gun, last week, and it is already paying for itself. Rebuking the skirt frames, and adding frame support under the shower area, that p.o. cut out to fit the narrow RAM bed. Finishing up c/s skirt this morning, as well as gluing down moisture barrier and siding, in prep for last windows, port, and access door installs.

Also, since I have an older camper, with many older, not replacable/upgradable things, I had to rebuild the range hood vent, and its delicate fabric hinge. It was a proprietary size and I didn't want to cut a bigger hole,or buy a bigger, plastic vent port.

Fall camping is the best. Weather is cooler, crowds are mostly gone because kids being back in school keeps families home for the most part.

I'm headed out this weekend.

WOW!! Tell Ruth I send her best wishes!!! That is an amazing level of training for both rider and horse (and as a lover of Dressage, the most incredible thing to see!)

I started tearing out the LP gas system....LOL! I have a nice-but-old Northstar popup, and since we tend to camp in campgrounds/state parks, I'd rather have the storage areas offered by removing the LP tank, furnace, cooktop, etc. I know it sounds crazy, but I did it with our previous camper (nothing worked on gas anyway) and I really liked it!

Kinda washed it and noticed that all the gray decals facing east and south have bleached to a lovely PURPLE under our relentless desert sun. West is fine as it is shaded by the house.

Repaired the Trailer hitch (bolt failure from a hard hit at a bridge/ pavement transition). Installed new 1/2" Grade 8 bolts nuts and washers on an original Torklift Magnum Super hitch. My bad for not regularly checking on bolt torque. Now loading up gear and other stuff to head out to the Region 7 and CDS Dressage Championship on Tuesday out by Sacramento. My wife is one of the competitors and I was hired to be the onsite Medic
