What do you use for steps while towing?

I would like to get a set of scissor steps but they would not work while towing which is most of the time.

I currently use a 24" step ladder that I can place beside the tongue. But my threshold is 42" off the ground so that last step is a doozy!!!

I was thinking of a 48" step ladder and saw 6" off the legs?

Thanks............DJ

What about a shorter set of scissor steps that would rest on top of the trailer tongue? You would only have the larger 12 to 18 inch step up to the trailer tongue then, or a short stool could be used to shorten that step.

I step on the ball mount or step to the ground. I've thought about adding a bolt on step to make it easier.

I use my Glow Steps only I mount them off to one side to avoid interfering with the hitch extension.
