What ever happened to the Ford truck camper?

Linky. Other than this announcement, has anyone heard about what Livin Lite has done with making a TC made for the 2015 F-150?

Part of me hopes for something that has some groundbreaking features, but I have a feeling that for something that is campable, with a shower and room to turn around, this won't be it.

They will show you otherwise. Converting the entire truck to aluminum panels saves a significant amount of weight that will add to the payload of the 1/2 ton truck.
  • With the announcement only happening a month ago, It's unlikely we will see or hear much more for a while (several months, but probably longer)
  • When I first saw this, I didn't see the part that it was made for the F-150 specifically... and had a vision that Ford and Livin-Lite would make a TC that would be sold with a F-350 as a matched set, with features like a very beefy high output alternator and remote start so the vehicle's engine could function as a generator for the TC, and other features that would allow truck features to work on the TC and vice versa.

Oh well... Maybe Livin Lite can pull off something pretty decent, although with a half ton, they don't have much to work with.
  • I was wondering about that myself as I'm curious to see what the camper will look like sitting in the bed of a Ford F-150 and also what features that camper will have in it.
