When we travel during the winter months in the west and northwest we often stay at Sno-Parks (Park 'N Ski in ID). Plowed except for extreme snow events. Most ski areas will allow TC to stay free (even when they charge other types of RVs. Just call and ask them.
An annual $25 permit is required and reciprocally recognized by OR, ID and CA (Oregon & Idaho - Nov through Apr; California - Nov through May). Washington has their own Sno-park permit Nov through April.
Nordic sno-parks are usually more quiet than the snow mobile ones early in the morning. There are Park'N Ski located off of 4th of July Pass in ID when traveling on I-90. Anthony Lakes Ski Area outside of Baker OR has a Sno-Park lot at the resort.
