BIL is looking at a used 2017 Puma XLite 25RSC. His first TT. He owns plenty of truck to tow it. I feel there's three things in his favor for negotiating a good price.

1. It's owned by a bank.
2. No slides.
3. It's October in Indiana and camping season is nearing an end.

NADA low retail is $17,600.However there's several on internet at $15000-$15,500. Bank is asking $15,000.

What would you offer? What would you expect to buy it for?

Don't rush, offer 30% less than asking price - see how that goes over ? You can always offer more. Good luck.

Thanks Tim! You're the only one to respond. I'm thinking $12,000 would be a good deal. I advise BIL to offer $10,000 and see what happens. Trailer is used but in excellent condition. hopefully the bank just wants to get rid of it.

If Bank owns it you are in the driver's seat! Some questions if it is a repo, it obviously was used? Do not buy it without inspecting it completely? Do you know how many miles? Have you had the opportunity to check every component to see if working? How much warranty left on it? Will the warranty be in effect if from a bank? Where is it? You should require that the bank pay to have it certified by a dealer before you buy! If everything checks out, is it the floor plan you really love? If not, go find another one that is exactly what you are looking for! Remember, once you take it off the lot, it loses 50% of it's value in year one if you decided to trade... At this time of year, there are great deals on every TT seller. I bought mine in Nov of 2014 new and got 35% off the MSRP and a lot of throw ins. Take it carefully, check it out completely..... then offer 12,000 if it meets all your checklists.. Start low, you are in control! Good luck! Let us know the result!
