Where are all the Truck Campers ?

Last sunday heading home from San Miguel south
on the 101 I seen 6 heading north so I guess there all
in C.A. :)

They're all parked out in the woods or at the lake where their owners are fishing like I plan to do at Lake Powell in Utah starting Sunday. It's that time of year, don't cha know.

I wonder how many TC's there are in existence ? I can buy a new class c Motorhome for the price of a F350. Not that many people have need for the capabilities of a TC, vs the disadvantages .

Last month I saw 3 or 4 when I came back from the East Coast to Ar..After being here a week or so I must have seen 8 or more passing through...I guess we are out there somewhere..I am headed out next week if the weather clears and head north for a couple of weeks...happy traveling..

You were traveling east of the Mississippi. TC land is west of that river.

i Saw a hand full on I-81 and I-80 in PA this week alone.

Most folks think value is in sq. ft. for the dollar. The TC isn't in that range compared to a TT. For $25,000 I can buy a 8 or 9 foot camper or a 22+ foot TT. The TT even comes with a frame, two axles and 4 wheels and tires for that price. Where is the 'value' in a camper to someone getting into RVing?

For me; I've PAID for the truck already. I'm putting it to dual use. The camper is free from DMV and insurance, being already covered by the truck. The ability to drive freeway speeds is also a great value. Stealth, ability to maneuver, etc. all things a dealer won't tell you if they don't carry campers.

I think they're in Utah. I've never seen as many as I saw out there. They weren't all Utahns, but they were all there!

See them every day on I-25 from the living room in my house, sometimes 10 or more a day.
