Where's a few good sites to place a camper for sale?

Thanks in advance.
I have tried to go to Classifieds here but it never opens. Not sure that is a good feature...
  • The Classifieds was shut down years ago.
and Forum rules prohibit selling anything here.

We've always had good luck selling our RV's and vehicles on Craig's.

We've also had great luck with Craigslist but I hear RV Trader is a good place too. We looked on there a lot when we bought our recent TC even though we ended up buying from someone on Craigslist.
  • I just used a classified ad om RV Trader, got lots of calls and sold it.
You will get TONS OF CALLS from people trying to get you to use their services to sell it l. Like 2 or 3 a day. I tried Craigs list and that didn't work well for me. The people that called really didn't know much about RV'S, pretty much tire kickers.
  • I put it on Craigslist and did get calls from some place in Kalifornia wanting to 'put me in touch with people interested in that model of camper'. After I asked them to remove me from their call list, they did.
So on this site why dont they remove the classified banner? Seems kind of goofy and makse the site look bad having an option that doesn't work.
  • Had good luck with Ebay local classifides. It is free and covers about 100 mile radius.
Craigslist been ok but alot of Bozos like to waste your time.
  • I hear people complain about Craigslist but I've never had problems with 'idiots' . Sold quite a few things on it. I don't care for regular EBay.
  • Agree on Craigslist and definitely agree on the Bozos. Advantages of CL are that you can reach multiple areas and it's free. The downside are the goobers that have nothing to do with their day but hang on CL and be a nuisance. Some will suggest corresponding with their/your personal email or phone. DON'T! Go through CL email only until you feel very, very sure that it's a legitimately interested buyer. I've never used Ebay. Another option is just your local newspaper. We sold both our HTT and just yesterday sold our Rocky on CL. Just be cautious with personal info and definitely nothing financially connected.
  • We have sold several items on CL just need to watch for the bottom feeders who can't get a real job and try to scam people. We received a fake check once and someone tried to get my son to cash a check over the amount and send them the difference just last week. Just be aware they are lurking.
  • We had the best luck using our local paper's classifieds. I think it's best to start locally, IMO you'll have a better chance of an actual serious buyer vs. someone who is looking to scam you and/or waste your time.
