With GM due for their refreshes shortly and Ford due in 2015 I think they will do just fine. I'd bet there will be a 900 lb-ft 6.7 in the next Super Duty and it may come close to 30k tow rating but even that is more a marketing gimmick (CDL issues) than a useful capability.
But then again that's assuming Ram can actually build them properly, which given Chrysler's heritage it's doubtful.
