WHICH ONE DO I BUY?

First off, Hello all and thank you in advance.

Late last year I purchased a KZ Inferno 4012 knowing that my current tow vehicle (06' GMC 2500 4x4 Duramax) would be overloaded but couldn't pass up the deal on the Inferno. Although I have pulled the unit a few times with this truck, I am aware that an upgrade is inevitable. So, here I am now asking for any input on which 3500 DRW to purchase next? I feel like the "BIG 3" are all really close in all aspects these days I am hoping to hear FROM ACTUAL OWNERS of these rigs with pro's and con's that you have encountered thus far with your truck. Please keep the comments to trucks that are comparable to the 2013 models that I will be shopping. I am interested in hearing ANY feedback you have to offer and appreciate all feedback given. Thanks again.

Ric, you keep referring to a PM, what is written in one that I am not aware of? Is it one between the two of us?

In the past, I have been accused of being a troll, and now I'm thin skinned. Kind of contradictory, no?

Before you start your signature name calling Rico do you remember getting butthurt when another forum member called you 45Ricotard? I can look it up for you if you would like.

Oh, and BTW, I responded to your personal insult and now you think I'm thin skinned? Maybe you should do a little soul searching on what pushes your buttons.

Here is a winky smiley just so we know it is all in good fun...... :w

Just to clarify, we have a special needs kid in the family and we don't think of him as ( retarded) which nutz suggested. It is as much of a insult to us as others being called the N word. Maybe you older guys need to get with current times. If not, fine I understand your lack of empathy towards mankind.

My PM box is wide open buddy, as you know :W Guess I should use it too as to not drag the thread out. He's still a ID10t in my books.

For a trailer of that size I would go straight to an F-450.

So now that we are the land of PC, the next time I read a joke about "drunken Indians" I can expect you to have my back? We wouldn't want me to be offended by jokes about my ethnicity would we?

My point is not to dissect insults, and who may be offended by what is said, but if you are going to refer to people on this forum as the three stooges then just remember this old proverb: For every finger you point you have four pointing back at you. If I am a stooge to you, then fine. But after your reaction to 'nutz, and then to follow it with your name calling, well, I see some character in you that I find subject.....

Oh, and, you know my posts are lightning rods for anyone not driving a GM....... So ask yourself if I were thin skinned then why would I want to draw attention to myself.

So ridiculous how many of these threads turn into an immature name calling, finger pointing contest. It's an RV/TV forum that was intended to HELP people and spread related news and information and it seems that a lot of people forget that. I do appreciate the input from MOST people on here and hope that the others grow up soon. Good day to all.

Nothing wrong with the current offerings from Ford and GM either, but they have some catching up to do for the next few years in features and capability.

With GM due for their refreshes shortly and Ford due in 2015 I think they will do just fine. I'd bet there will be a 900 lb-ft 6.7 in the next Super Duty and it may come close to 30k tow rating but even that is more a marketing gimmick (CDL issues) than a useful capability.

But then again that's assuming Ram can actually build them properly, which given Chrysler's heritage it's doubtful.

Nice slam!

My 11 HO Dually has been trouble free for 30K. Maybe you should test drive one.

RAM has really upped the ante with their 2013 and 2014 3500's. Top of the line. .

Really? They are pretty much just caught up to Ford and GM. What's the fuel economy of the new ****imens? Is it still the worst of the bunch?

Sorry dude, maybe you should go test drive one. They have surpassed the competition.

Thank you. I am hoping to hear opinions of present owners on all aspects. One of my concerns is fuel mileage. I know I can't expect to set any mpg records with any of them pulling that TH but I'm sure some get better numbers than others. I drove a 2013 Dodge 3500 DRW Laramie today and was extremely impressed with the ride quality surprisingly but the display showed 13.6 mpg average at best over the test drive which I think is horrible. Drove 2014 Ford next with a displayed average of 17.2! I am not "a Ford guy" but I refuse to let a name badge cloud my decision this time. Going to drive a Chevy tomorrow and go from there. I hear the Duramax likes to drink the DEF fluid much more so than the other 2 but can't confirm. Sorry so long, I'm just typing what I'm thinking. Thanks agian for the feedback.

Good luck to you if you are going to spend 60K based on a "LIE-O-METER"

I appreciate all the useful input on this and still am not sure. As of now, price has me leaving towards the Chevy as it is almost 5k cheaper but I have always had great service out of my cummins trucks. Curious about the changes coming up from both manufacturers over next couple years as well. Thanks again all.
