Which wax/polish is best?

Ok, I know there are posts on this topic already; some very old. I just bought a new 2018 fiberglass travel trailer. As you can imagine, it has numerous decals. I've been reading about what wax/polish is best. As many people as you can count, that's how many opinions there are out there. So why ask for more? I don't know. Anyway, I have always been a fan of NuFinish. But then there's the petroleum distillate issue and that it might affect decals which are plastic (I believe). I read about petroleum distillates and found out it is "broken down" to suit many different products. I don't know if NuFinish has petroleum distillate in it or not. The bottle doesn't say. But I know Meguiars products do and everybody seems to swear by Meguiars. So then, how about your opinion? Here's the direct question: What is the best wax/polish product to wax/polish a fiberglass travel trailer with decals?

This polish from Starbrite is awesome. Tons of UV inhibitors and since it is a polymer it lasts nearly a full year. Even after a year it beads water well. I use it on my boat as well, great stuff and very easy to apply. Starbrite marine polish with PTFE

I just use whatever 'wax' I use on my vehicles... The decals will peal, fade, whatever, no matter what if exposed to the sun...

Maybe you could clear coat it?? Dunno..

I still have the very first TT I ever bought and that was back in 2002 (brand new too).. The front graphics died awhile ago.. Don't even remember.. I cover it during the winter, but not in the summer (we are using it!)

Anyway, once the front decals went away, I just pulled them off and not really worried about it..

Yes, I know I have a 16 year old TT and you have a brand new one.. Mine was brand new too and I tried to save them with "wax", but it made zero difference in the end...

Yes, I also know that no one keeps their RV's as long as I do and want the most resale value too... I get that.. So, just keep it out of the sun and your decals will do better..

Good luck!

I use Nu-Finish once a year. Easiest to put on and take off that I have found. I use it on my truck as well as the RV'S. I wax the graphics as well.

I agree if it's not easy you won't do it.

That answer made me laugh. Maybe it was supposed to. My new travel trailer has so many decals they cannot be avoided when applying a shine. Maybe I should have said "graphics."
SpeakEasy: Thanks for squaring me away on wax vs polish.
Thank you to all of you who responded so far.

I agree with Sidecar. I've always used Turtle Wax.

One comment from me only..

Whatever product is cheapest and easiest to apply and remove gets my vote The easier it is to do, the more often you'll do it.

I use Turtle Wax paste myself and I DO wax the decals and always have with no issues at all. TW Paste is cheap (important), easy to apply (also important and easy too remove (very, very important).

The only downside is... nothing. I don't need to make a profession out of waxing my RV, I have other, more important things to do...like go camping.

You're saying "wax/polish" as if the terms are interchangeable. They are not. Wax is just that: wax. Polish has grit in it. You don't want to use polish on new fiberglass. You'll destroy the surface. Polish is for oxidized surfaces, which a 2018 is not.

Mcguires makes some excellent boat wax as does Colinite. Probsbly will have to buy either online someplace like Amazon or Ebay.
