Wonderful T.R.! A just great balance of where, when and what with lots of splay on people, views and weather. This one proves once again how truck campers are out there actually doing it, and not just plugged into 50 amps and connected to that great black centipede at a trailer park.
The clearance mentioned above was about 5-6 inches. My TC was 10', 2" high at the time, at the highest point, which was luckily not where the rock was going either direction. With my current defacto lift on the rear axle gets it now up to about 10', 4". It's all a compromise to get clearance down below and clearance up above.
This T.R. brings back many fond memories from 2010 on the WRT with Alex and his fetching frau. My first run over the WRT was in June (ugh, it was hot!) of 1970 in my '66 Toyota L.C. FJ-40 with factory PTO winch, top off and window folded down. Kind of like Rat Patrol. With that little putt-putt it was a piece of cake. In retrospect, we had no trouble taking the hard sides over that trail either. It just looks like we should have.
Hay-fay.
