Who's hitting the road this summer?

With all of the virus stuff, I am certain we are all tired of being stuck at home by now. I've been stir crazy for months now and ready to hot the road. In the midst of planning my own summer time road trip with the family, I've been wondering what type of crowds I should expect at National Parks and campgrounds. My initial thought was it would be a low traffic season with people wanting to avoid others but I've started to hear some rumours that places are already very busy after reopening.

So, how many of you are looking at traveling this summer and what changes are you making because of the virus / restrictions?

Yes, Disney World in Florida is open with several restrictions. The campground, Fort Wilderness has been open since June 22.

NEW IDEA.
I love Lake Powell for about 30 years and the trip a month ago show what my patio boat can do on big lake.
So now I am thinking about skipping the camper on the trip, load the boat and make 260 miles trip early in the morning, so I can sleep about 5 nights on the boat.
My patio boat has plastic enclosures all the way around what should satisfy DW who is not thrilled about sleeping in the open.
I can take a lot on my patio boat, porta-potty, fuel for 300 miles, so was even thinking about taking Honda 3000 for ice maker, coffeemaker and induction plate, but thinking about it, easier might be making 2-batteries house bank and inverter.
Than I still will have 1000 W generator and propane burner as backup.
Its been long time since we camped without convenience of RV, so any advise to my idea?

We have 4 trips planned through October. Three to Disney Fort Wilderness and one to a friend's personal airdrome in southern Ohio. We may visit some relatives on the way home from that one. Not real exciting as going to the real wilderness, but at least getting out of the house.

I would say YES, but it would just be a dream. It won't be in the cards this year unless something big changes.

I think I will get back up to Oregon this summer for a period of time, and when there I use the TC, but won't be going anywhere.

I've only taken one road trip and that was a few years ago in my Skyline Weekender.

From here to OR and down the CA coast and back home. somewhere around 2500 miles if I remember correctly.

Loaded and heading out. :B

An extra 15 gal fresh water, 14 gallons of gas and an extra 5 gal LP.

And firewood.

I went camping with my best friend for his birthday last week.
He moved in next door to me back in December 1963.

Exploring on our ATVs is why we own RVs.

We camped in Murdock Basin in the Uinta Mountains in Wasatch National Forest. Our camp spot was only 211 miles from my front door.

I camper here in the same spot several times about 12-13 years ago before moving to where I live now.

We had very comfortable early morning temperatures.

We had a GREAT time.

This counter space and the built in generator are two of my favorite things about my camper.

We have air driers here too. If people weren't such disrespectful pigs we'd put paper towels back out.
