I have been looking for a good used Suburban or 3/4 ton Chevy /Gmc vehicle and they are really scarce. I have been looking on auto trader,cars.com and craigslist . I like to spend around $20.000 since this vehicle will be used only to tow the trailer. Any suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks ED

An out of state vehicle would have to meet CA emission regs which could get expensive. They are scarce here too, a clean well maintained Sub doesn't stay on the lot for long and fetches premium dollars.

Look on Craig's list, I have seen quire a few.

I sold our 3/4 ton Suburban to a party on the east coast, they prefer vehicles that spend all there years out west because there is no 'RUST' to speak of and they don't even question having it shipped. Check online under 'newsgroups' or 'forums' and be ready to jump on it if it is the one you are looking for. Good luck.

Agreed, think the burb is built in Arlington TX.

As long as it has more than 7500 miles on it, there is no problem bringing a 49 state car into CA legally. Probably find more 3/4 ton Subs in Texas.

we paid 27k for our loaded 2012 a couple years ago. others were available cheaper, but i paid extra for one that was super clean.

plan on keeping it until someone does a new full size suv with solid axles front and rear. which likely means forever....

I wouldn't want a 93. Interior and engines were drastically improved in 96.

A 93, even with a big block, is a whopping 210hp TBI engine. The 96+ 5.7 makes more HP and almost the same torque. They can be found cheap if you look long enough and are willing to fo that old.

That one is super clean though!

The TBI’s respond well to tuning. Plus I like the interior of those earlier models. (Not better, just different)

If your not stuck on a Sub they did make a 2500 Avalanche for a few years that came with the 8.1.

I found a 2011 Suburban 2500 with 56K on KSL.com It is sitting at the Salt Lake Valley GMC dealer. They are asking 28K
