Glad things turned around so wonderfully for you, and I understand when you say the innocence was lost.
Long story short, I was filling up my truck at a gas station, and a couple there in a van asked me for some gas money. Apparently they borrowed the van to get to a job interview and the owner didn't have enough gas in it. Anyway, the story seemed to have holes and was sometimes strange. I wish I could have cracked out my wallet and filled up thier tank. But so many scams and liars, I just gave them $10.00 and pulled out.
I watched them and they DID put the $10.00 in the tank...so legit or not, I will never know. But I hate the fact now a days I have to doubt first.
Anyway after reading your story, we can at least hope for better times ahead for this family. Maybe the camping community out that way will chip in and help.
