Roadlover, I would probably switch the Honda for some solar panels. I do the same type of electrical usage as you do. Keurig in the morning about 4 cups total, Electric hair dryer or curling iron and a toaster. We do a lot of boondocking only plug in when boondocking is not available.
I have two Optima yellow top AGMs (135 total AH), Onan 2500, 300W solar and a 1750 Powerwatt inverter. Before we got the solar I didn't dare run the inverter. The batteries would not fully charge by running either the generator or running the truck between destinations (even on a full 8 hr day of travel).
Since the installation of the solar panels our batteries are at 100% by noon.
Keurig uses about 2-3% of battery power per cup, toaster is at about 4-5%, curling iron and/or hair dryer is about 5-6%. So depending on usage our batteries are down to about 70%.
Running the Onan for two Hrs would get us about 3% of battery power.
We only use the generator for the occasional microwave use batteries and inverter are not big enough to start the microwave.
If I were starting over the only thing I would change is that I would get two 6V batteries. 6v batteries run in series will get you around 210 AH. If you have any questions PM me.
