window insulation

To keep the bedroom darker, bought some reflective insulation. Comes in rolls app. 5/16 thick to place between the shades and the glass windows. We live in Missouri, gets pretty hot here. Any thoughts on possible glass breakage or any other problems

You need to be cautious with double glazed windows, they can be blown out if the get too hot between the panes.

With double glazed windows, I would hang it on the outside with double sided tape.

I've used reflective bubble foil insulation on our 96 Southwind for years with no problems.
I use it on the windshield and the double pane windows.

You can get it at Lowe's, etc. or online.

Is it the bubble foil insulation. Mine has had it on it's large front window for at least 10 years, no issues, it reflects the light right back out the glass.
