I thought that it's "dis-functionality" was apparent and not really meant to replace an actual toolbox. I guess folks actually do believe everything 'cause it is on the internet :R

When I forgot to take it out of my backpack before trying to board my flight the helpful TSA agent at the security area pointed out that by deploying the two larger blades and the jet engine on the back side I really didn't need a commercial flight, just a runway and some goggles. Boy, did I feel dumb, but I saved $605 on airfare!

I have had the same tools and slightly bigger tool box as theoldwizard1 for over sixteen years. I don't have the hacksaw, but do have Duct tape and electrical tape electrical connectors and fuses. Although not in the tool box, I also have a 30 ton bottle jack. I am pleased to say I have never used any of it more than a couple of times. I also have Fire Extinguishers I have never used, which is also great.

I am one who reads the description and sorry to chill you guys, but
I called Wenger and asked if this was the way that they intended to make the knife or if it was a defect in which the assembler possibly put the blades in the wrong channel . I was told that this knife was a "display piece" and was never intended to be functional

Impossible to bring everything, so why try.

Exactly. My 'toolkit' changes with where I'm going. If I'm doing an off road trip my toolkit is tailored to that. A road trip, different stuff. However, my best 'Tools are my cell phone and SAT phone and my Cabelas Black Visa card.

When all else fails, call and pay.

I carry all my 'tools' in a milk crate (lifted from a local convenience store) on the floor behind the backseat. Hydraulic jack, breaker bar, extension, socket for lug nuts, screwdrivers, West Virginia adjustable wrench, vice grips, 100 mile per hour tape, electrical tape, spare serpentine belt, motor oil and trans fluid. I also carry a chainsaw, folding shovel, sand pads, extra fuel and a Lewis Winch (most of which is between the truck bed and camper. I have a couple 'Swiss Army knives in the glovebox along with spare fuses and bulbs.

TRUE !! Basically a roll of duct tape was too big.

But there are wire ties (zip ties)! Pretty close to duct tape.

It has a key ring loop- attach it to your ignition key and drive. It should tear the ignition lock cylinder out in the first 10 miles. :E
