Leases make no sense to me unless you drive the hell out of the vehicle and turn it in at the end or maybe if you can get a real low monthly payment it might be worth it.TomG2 wrote:Thats_Ok wrote:
It's a long story.
I actually came out on top.

I see that your judgment and values are being criticized. Doesn't it only matter that you know that you got a good deal?
Thank you Tom...
I should have known better than to try to explain my dealings here.
I've leased two other vehicles I do know the ins and outs.

usually a federal credit union will give you the best loan... Don't rule them out when you are looking for one...
My CU wanted to give us 3.4 APR but our bank gave us 2.3 APR. Asked the CU WTH is up with that and they told me you didn't ask for the best rate????? No more loans from the CU. BTW I have been with them for over 15 years and never missed a payment.

Yes,
It was a lease versus financing it for 6 years.
I bought the truck at the end of the lease
I didn't walk away from the truck I wanted to keep it.
A lease isn't a cash deal.
Financing or lease you pay the piper when it's done.
I'm trying to say I got a few bucks off the buyout.
Full term financing would have been more money (around $67000.00).
