I'm just wondering why all my posts are being posted to the Tow Vehicles Forum and Not In Truck Campers...
This is sort of a test post to see where this ends up being posted and trying to figure out why.
There is no Tow Vehicle Group. It's listed under Everything RV. Who knows. This post loaded into the Truck Camper Forum just fine. Who knows?

Unless the discussion is about hauling or securing your camper to the truck, the posts really do belong in the vehicle section. The work done to rebuild this F250 is a great resource for more than just the TC group.

I appreciate the input of my esteemed friend Bedlam and others as well. In my little mind, the purpose of what I'm doing to my truck and engine, is repair it to running condition again, but also to gain more power from an engine that is underpowered for hauling the weight of a truck camper, two humans, two cats, and all the supporting supplies that go with it. My objective, is to achieve a repair with modifications that will increase the horse power enough to hold speed, 60 or 65 on the freeway in a headwind or uphill grade and to do a little better when going over mountain passes. I am comming at my posts as a truck camper or load hauler as another stated, not as a tow vehicle. If I post a camping video, it's posted from the perspective of a truck camper. Some campsites we go to are unaccessible by tow vehicles class C's and class A's. I suppose I will simply continue to post stuff about my truck camping in truck campers and if the powers that be decide my post belongs somewhere else, then so be it. I hope the intended TC audience finds, sees the post, but if it ends up being useful to anyone, the intended purpose is fulfilled.

True that!

Ithey were posts that should have been in the tow vehicle group as it was how to fix stuff on a truck and nothing to do with truck campers. same as posts that are about capmprounds should be in a destination group not truck campers.
to put some clairity here this post you just did should have been in the comunity feedback forum as it has to do with what you thought was an issue with the board, maybe a mod will move it there.

I can see your other posts, they are about your truck's engine, so a mod may have moved them to an appropriate location on the forum?
I'd also like to add a thank you to our truck camper mod Bedlam for sticking it out and still being one of the few left who actively help keep our forum managed!

Unless you also happen to be pulling a trailer, our trucks are not tow vehicles, they are haul vehicles. Either rename the tow vehicle group, or keep the posts here.

not true, I have a truck that can pull a 5th wheel or haul a camper, or two a trailer when I am hauling a camper. if I do a post on how to change the injector pump on my truck it will be posted in the two vehicle section as that is where it will do the most good. a truck is a truck. now if I have a post that is spicific on to the camper, say how to add a lift to the bed to get cab clearance then it will be in the truck camper section, or if i have a post about my equalizer hitch it will be in the travel trailer section or a post about the mounts for a 5th wheel hitch it will be in the ....... I think you get it now.
@Camper_Jeff___K was posting in the truck camper section and the posts had nothing to do in any way to truck campers and were more of a benifit in other groups so they were moved, as it equated to spam in the truck camper group.

Did you read what I wrote. Nothing I said is untrue.
If all benefit from the posts, suggest a tow/haul vehicle forum.

yup I did, and my point was that if a post comes on the board that is purely on how to fix the engine of a pic up truck, the tow vehicle group is where it should be as it will benifit more people on the forum, so ya I tkinda do disagree with your statment like I said in the last post, but we can agree to disagree. It's same with tires on a pick up truck, although I would rather have a forum just for tires. I do agree the name should be a little more generic like "light duty truck forum". I will add that this forum is pretty unique in even having a truck camper group, I have only found one other that was worth visiting but its truck camper section had maybe 5% of the posts this one did before the change so not the best for a camper guy. this used to be by far the best truck camper resorse on the internet, and remember the name of the forum is "truck camper" so the post should directly relate to truck campers, not fixing engines in your pick uptruck. there are several names that should be altered or even deleted in my opinion, we have so many overlaps it is hard for people to decide where to post and we are getting the same post in multiple forums, also discussion that used to happen before isn't because the names of the fourms don't allow for posts that used to be quite comon, the tech which used to be technology has turn into a trouble shooting forum for anything from truck electonics (which should be in the truck forum) to 5th wheel furnaces and so on.. it ised to be just called technology and was used to discuss electronic, solar, batteies, new developments in tech and so on.. now it serves the same function as the mechanical trouble shooting forum.. also we lost the DIY forum so no more poating how to build somthing.. these little things are part of why the board is so dead, the dificultiy in finding the right group to post is stopping people from posting.

Forums are funny things. Rules that may or may not make sense. If somebody is mainly a tow vehicles forum user and posts about their vehicle of interest in tow vehicles, same topic as my post, I will most likely never see it because tow vehicles are of no interest to me. Same post, posted in Truck campers, Truck camper will see it but if it's in another forum, they may never see the post because like me, they are interested in truck campers, not tow vehicles. AS I stated, my posts are from the perspective of a truck camper, for truck campers. There are more important things to be upset about than whether a post belongs in truck campers or tow vehicles, or camp cooking. I'll post in truck campers. it's above my paygrade to figure what forum a post is supposed to fit best. An expert moderator can handle those delicate yet nasty details of a post.

thats why we have different groups in the forum, other wise it turnes into a truck camper magazin type forum which is absolutly horrible with one forum line and everything goes under it. a little organization is a good thing, for my self, I was originaly here when I got my tent trailer, then I added checking out the trailer forum as we were looking at one of thoes, and bought one 5 years later. then after we had the trailer for 10 years I went to a 5th wheel but I still followed the old forums I was in, then 4 years ago I picked up the camper in adition to the 5th wheel.
so the forums I check every day are trailer, 5th wheel, truck camper , rv newbies and then all of them under the "everything rv" tag, well I only look at campground 101 once and a while as I am still not quite sure what is suposed to be there.. haha.. but if I am looking for problems to help me fix somthing on my truck I will always vheck the truck section first, unless its somthing about a 5th wheel hitch then I will look in the 5th wheel section, a equalizer hitch in the trailer section and so on.. use more than one forum, it exposes you to the board more, also your campground reviews are great, I hat the fact that we have to go to youtub to watch them, the only people that do that re trying to make money of you tube which means your posts are kinda comercial, but if they are in the apropreat section then it is a huge resorce for eveyone on the board, and you'll get more views. non of thoes posts would be concidered truck camper or as you put it "from the perspective of a truck camper" exclusive the only prespective is thats what you went to them in but the video its self is about the campground and the local atractions you went to and resturants you ate at.. yes I did look at them.. so if you put them in the regional forums it would be a good way for some one lime me who was going to that region to look and see what there is in that area, or the campground 101, is that for campground reviews? it would be a good area if it is.. now where I would agree with the posting of campground videos is if you went to a place that there is no way anything short of a 4x4 truck/camper is going to get in there. but then we have the
for thoes trypes of trips to be posted about.. which I am not sure why this was ever created, I supose it is so cloed in people wouldnt ever have to leave the truck camper forum and explore the board, but if it is in one thread it is contained and not cluttering up the rest of the posts.
