The departure angle is quite bad, so I'd say it doesn't do off-road very well. It's a sliding scale with the longer distance from rear axle to bumper getting progressively worse. I find my 9 1/2 TC about as long as I want.
It is actually built on this which is a base for a Earthcruiser. It is very good Off Road, more ground clearence and no overhang
