Piston Disintegrated End Of An Engine

Piston Disintegrated End Of Engine

<span;>I found the problem with my engine. The piston in cylinder #5 self destructed  and left no trace behind. All that remains is a rod and wrist pin. The engine ran great until it didn't.  Currently, I'm looking for a new Truck</span;>

  • UPDATE 2 WITH CORRECTION ON CAMPING WORLD

UPDATE on Camping World price confusion.
I was asking her about base plates for the truck and the parts lady quoted me for an entire flat tow system installed. We are working on just the parts I need for my setup and I install everything. So that brings the cost to around 3500.00 all said and done. A bit more reasonable. Aparently our good sams membership, doesn't really get us 10% off on purchases. It gets us the advertised sales not available to non members. We also get points on purchases good on next purchases. Better than nothing. I just wanted to make that correction.

  • UPDATE:

Not getting a lot of love from campung world who wanted 5000.00 to install a baseplate for flat towing.  Something E-Trailer sells for 350.00 and can be bolted in in an hours time. No rental companies have seem to have a truck I can use. Uhaul only has half ton trucks. If I can setup a towbar on this truck, Enterprise has a Freightliner contractor utility truck that can do the tow.

I'll post more when I know.

  • wow, that fast. usaly they give a little warning...  thats realy to bad after all the work you just did.
