We loaded up the horses at 5:30 pm and hit the road from the LA Equestrian Center going north on 5. Climbing the grapevine at twilight was easy, going done the steep grade into the central valley at night with that load required a wee bit of attention. Second gear using stab braking all the way down keeping it between 30-35 mph for the 6 mile descent. got hit by really gusty cross winds from 152 to the Altamont pass and had to drop down to 45 mph a couple of times to safely hold my lane. We dropped the horses at the barn around 1245 am and made it home by 1:30 am. I'm getting ready to head into work after a week on the road, gonna clean out the rig tonight
