Did my least favorite chore. Changing the in rail fuel filter under the truck. It takes a snubbed 5mm allen to remove the plug and drain the fuel water separator so that you don't take a major diesel bath when you unscrew the filter cap, which takes a 36mm socket and you only have enough room to do 1/8th of a turn at a time. Then you have a couple of cups of bad diesel to burn off when you are done.
fuel water separator port is on the side just above the fitting holding the corrugated line on the filter body ( far right of photo) you have to work between the front drive shaft and the frame rail.
FYI.You should only run Motorcraft filters. I preorder them from the local International dealer in town. I had injector issues with the cheaper brands.
I owned an 03 and only had one injector go out. I loved the 6.0
