Cussed a bit then got down to work.
I really hate other drivers. Loading up the rig to go work a horse show and doing my ususal inspections when something caught my eye. The right rear jack was pressed up against the bumper and camper and the mount was folded over. Someone hit it hard enough to do that and took off without leaving a note... good thing the camper was loaded and the jacks retracted. Had to have happened in the past two weeks either when the wife had it at a horse show or when I took it to work while the car was in the shop. Anyways I first loosened the three plate bolts that hook the jack to the plate mounted to the Lance then I undid the lower bent mount. The jack returned to a straight line. Next I levered the mount on the bumper back into position and re tightened the bolts to the upper mount then redid the bumper mount and cycled the jack...works fine. then I lifted the TC on the jacks No flex no noise besides the sound of the electric motor. Whew, got lucky.
Pic is after i straightened the jack, the tube was touching the TC when I first saw it. yes I dropped a few F bombs... I used a wooden wedge against the TC and the flat blade of a pick to bend the bumper mount back into place
I had the same thing happen except it was my doing. I tagged a wood pole pulling out of a tight parking spot. I just banged it back into place.
