We absolutely love the island because in our old travel trailer we had NO counter space, now we have it for days. Because we have a single door fridge, not a residential, you have access to fridge and freezer with all the slides in. Also, all of the Eagle HT FW's have a fully accessible upper deck with the slides closed. We love ours.Re: How does this work? Thanks for all the info. My wife grew up cmaping in a truck camper, and therefore has no desire to revisit that option. LOL. I just think they're awesome, but I've never camped in one.How does this work?Super basic truck camper question. When you're set up at a campsite, does the camper stay hooked to the truck the whole time? If you need to run an errand or go explore, do you bring the camper along? Do you ever disconnect and leave the camper at the site? Very curious.Re: Kent’s Island MD camping nearbyWe love Tuckahoe. We'd go there more if it weren't for how popular it is and its always full!Re: Camping around DC areaCherry Hill in College Park. Maryland and Delaware no....Re: Washington DC areaI've driven through CHerry Hill but never stayed. My family and I enjoyed Little Bennett Park, its part of the Montogmery Co. MD park system. Very nice. About a half hour-ish from DC. if you prefer a State park feel over the private campground atmosphere. https://www.montgomeryparks.org/parks-and-trails/little-bennett-regional-park/little-bennett-camping/Re: 50a to 30a questionThank you all for the input. I sincerely appreciate it!50a to 30a questionLooking towards the future about going from a TT to a FW. One of the models I like the most comes standard with 50a service. Should that be a concern as 99% my wife and I camp where only 30a is available? Not sure if its detrimental to the lifespan of the appliances, or if we just need to treat it like we currently do and turn off the AC if we need to run the microwave. Thanks for any help clearing this up for me. MikeRe: What do you leave in RVlinens, once they've been washed and put back in. Some really basic non perishable kitchen items. Appliances, flat ware, dishes cookware stay in rig year round.
