:) just trying to help on my pickup truck 1500 2008 4x4 chevy so i started to hear a noise every once in a while sounding like bells ringing, very low hard to hear type sound.. well after couple months it's loud that a can hear it. but it was not their all the time, just every once in a while i would hear it. so i check everything in the front of engine. ie axle fluid , shafts for play, nothing seems out of wack ... so time for oil change . tell the mechanic about the noise. it turned to be catalytic converter exhaust connector rings rusted and when the got hot would make the noise . sounded like muted wind chimes. I was worried it the the fly wheel because that was were it seemed to be coming from.. ps I never went under the truck when it was running or hot to check out the noise. just sharing my experience with a strange vehicle noise .729Views0likes0CommentsRe: Just Rented Forester 2016 3171ds for two week - Any advice?
never backup unless you have too, ie bad thanks can happen when backing up . buy walkie talkies , it will take stress out of backing up if you talk to your helper... just trying to help, I've see too many people screaming from the back of the camper/campsite. the driver can't hear very good inside the rv..492Views0likes0CommentsRe: Just bought my first RV a week ago. just trying to help,, on my Oven {oven has a pilot light } !! oven has a pilot light that stays on . was driving me crazy looking for the leak in the system,, was a simple fix. turn it off at the knob. i thought all the knobs needed to be turned all the way left, except the one for the oven,, was a simple mistake, but i was ruining wire inside the cabinets and thought i broke a line... never thought too check the knobs, it takes a few minutes for the alarm to go off, but i could not smell the propane, but the alarm was going off.558Views0likes0CommentsRe: Would you drive a 1985 Class C with 130k 2,500 miles RT?
when checking tires, you might be surprised to find it has 16.5 tries on it... try to find a spare tire in 16.5 size on a road trip is not easy... just trying to help.. better to know now then be stuck some place waiting for a tire.. so if 16.5 tires on it try finding a tire for it. my buddys 1987 has 16.5 tires from 1978 on it. :( PS The date of manufacture is the last four digits of the DOT code. The first two digits are the week of manufacture, and the last two digits are the year. well i have a big yard, so my buddys class c rv is parked in the grass on a 2x12 well i move his rv ,,argg as i'm moving it a hear a bang,the 2x12 kicked up and broke the black holding tank, the board hit it.arggg i had a 45 degree cut on the end of the 2 x12 did not think it would flip up with the cut on it. well I was wrong...806Views0likes0Comments
