It is steep up and very steep and very, very curvy down. I don't like it and my setup pulls and stops very easy. You want a nice drive and easy driving, take 211 west past Wal-mart. About 4 miles out, turn left on 340 and follow 340 all the way to 64. Take 64 east and then pick up 95 south. Are you at the Koa or Jellystone?Re: Tybee Island or Jeckyll Island? Thoughts or comparisons? We are probably the minority here. We love Tybee. Every chance we can we head there. We like going towards the end of Sept. The sites are not bad, water good, wi-fi better than most, great pool, great work campers. What we love about it is the closeness to Tybee. We park the rig and truck and bike everywhere. We have spent a week there and never started the truck. A lot of places to eat, drink and watch the sunsets. Water is nice, dolphin watching from the beach, great beach to walk. If you are all about sitting under your awning and watching the world go by, it can get busy next to the street and some of the traffic on the weekends. Short drive to Savannah for a day trip.Re: Fueling up at a truck stopOn our trip last week, we noticed that with Loves, TravelAmerica and some Pilots, they do not accept the credit card outside and make you go in. Once in they almost always asked how much. I had to estimate the amount of fuel I needed to take on. I was usually real close in my estimate. I am waiting on the check card bills to come in now to compare what I was charged compared to what I estimated. Also, as said above, make sure your truck will accept the large nozzle. This trip was along I-81, 40 and 59 from Va to Ala.Re: From Cullman, AL to northeast corner of MD for new rigThats a good route to go. We just got back from Gulf Shores. Only issues with 340 coming through is Harper's Ferry. Can get really backed up getting across the one lane bridge. If you want to stay overnight in a pull through campground, Wills Creek in Ft. Payne was nice, and the KOA in Sweetwater Tenn, was nice. Easy on and off. The roads up were easy drives, no issues or construction.Re: Baltimore to Cedar Point Sandusky OhioReally only one bad climb. If you head up 70 to Breezewood and get on the turnpike, it is just pretty much rolling. The hill climb to the tunnel is a long winding climb, not sure what the percentage is, but it will keep you in the peddle all the way to it. You shouldn't be any heavier than my setup, so you should be able to climb it without any problems. Once through the tunnel, it is pretty easy. Coming back, one climb this side of Ohio is hard but not bad. If you've run the hills coming back from Hagerstown on 70, the climb to the tunnel is harder than that one hill because it is so long.Re: Baltimore to Cedar Point Sandusky OhioThe pull up to the tunnel is pretty steep, a lot of truck traffic. Really not much of a problem all the way up to Sandusky. Typical cone displays in Ohio. Love that area and Put-In-Bay. Enjoy.Re: Redwood Keyless entry pad not workingOurs is a 2013 with Rv Lock. It has been super reliable using the FOBs, replacement keypad has been good so far. Good luck.Re: Redwood Keyless entry pad not workingThe battery location for the door handle is inside. If you pull the handle, you will see two phillips screws. The batteries are in there. The keypad attached to the wall of the rig is the one they replaced for me. It is stuck on there with double sided tape. The new one seems to have a better seal on the watch battery tray. Call rvlock, they are great to work with and stand behind their locks. Good luck.Re: Redwood Keyless entry pad not workingIf it is the same as ours, you didn't say what year, it was replaced for free by Rv Lock. rvlock.com If an Rvlock keypad, there are also batteries in the door lock itself. Two screws for the handle and 4 AA batteries.
