You indicate it has everything you want on/in it!Re: Purchasing an RV - negotiating a sale priceDecide how much you want to spend on a rv including wanted options and make an offer. Too many potential rv buyers are overly concerned about how much the dealer is willing to reduce his price. After researching the value of the rv you want, control the deal by make a "fair" offer and if dealer agrees, go with it.Re: Want new TT trailer but don't want a "Throw Away"I had bought a used 5vr and it "developed" severe roof leakage. I had to replace 1/2 of the roof. Had two 5vr afterwards, and every year once of twice a year, I would get on the roof, clean it as much as I could, and recalked EVERY seem, edges, around vents and sky lights, and a/c. Never had another issues with roof - no leaks, whatsoever. Other than scraped a tree limb that caused a little damage than I fixed immediately. I don't think it will make any difference if you speed $$ or $$$$$ on a new trailer, preventive maintenance and due diligence are the only things that will prevent water damage.Re: Which pickup would you use to pull 25ft 13k FW?Diesel dulley. You have to worry about pushing rated limits and for future upgrade trailer.Re: stronger rear endWhy not get a truck that is rated to handle the load that you want to put on it. Go big or stay home. We I camped in tents and tent trailer, a Ford Courier could handle the load. As we upgraded to 5th wheel trailers we had to upgrade truck. Duck tape, bailing wire and aftermarket want-to-be part are not going to cut it.Re: Another tire threadDon't settle for second best. If you want, and you should, order them online and have them shipped to you for installation by local tire dealer.Re: Manufacturers making defective tiresAs the next generation of rv buyers begin shopping for new rv's the last thing they worry about is safety (from china bombs). They will spend on the pretty options but not on tires. A new tire "looks pretty" has lot's of tread so what is there to worry about. If they weren't safe, they would not be selling them, right? Of course, will nearly all know the worst thing for ST's is lack of use, not tread wear. Checking psi often and keeping it maxxed, avoiding curb-strikes, pot holes big enough to lose a smartcar, protection from sun - would all help. When I moved up from tents to tent trailers to 5vr's, I never worried about the ST's as long as the tread looked okay. I was so oblivious of the potential problems of blown tires, I even changed out the ST's on my first 5vr and had dealer install USED passenger car tires, for trip to OK, 1500-mi each way. Got caught up in the truck traffic doing 100-mph or so, up to 85-mph before DW slapped me down. Ah, ignorance is bliss!:S BTW, on average we see at least 2 blown tires on trailers - about the same for cars.Re: Best tire replacement of GY st 225 75R 15 djgarcia wrote: path1 wrote: Brought new to us trailer home (2013 model) last Fri. My 5th. wheel weighs 1250 fully loaded. ------- I hope your 5vr's weight is a typo. Otherwise a G rated LT is a bit of overkill.:BRe: Diesels...Ford vs GMC vs DodgeThe RED one that fits you bottom, if you are brave. Otherwise, the one you better half wants! They all get the job done and have minor difference in pros and cons.Re: Dog CrapMaybe a 2 x 4 would help. Got to get their attention first.:B
