Thanks everyone so far - great suggestions. We have Sun Pass, Peach Pass and EZ Pass (along with TX pass as well). Waiting for the day when one toll pass is good in all states . . . .Southeast Florida to Sheboygan, Wisconsin RTI understand the timing is not the best but its the only time we have - looking to plan 2-3 weeks trip leaving 2nd week in July in a 41' DP w/tow from SE FL up to Whistling Straits area and back. Looking to camp in easy access, pet friendly locations, full hook up not always required but needed periodically. I have read all the threads with Wisconsin info but looking for more recent suggestions on camping options. Love state/county parks but private CG also ok as long as easy to get in and out of and pet friendly. Love to unhook toad and do side day trips, sightsee, love the coast, history and photo ops but also just enjoy driving tours to see sights. Dont need hiking or fishing suggestions just a leisurely time to enjoy ourselves best we can. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated, noted and yes we understand how covid restrictions may limit this trip. Its the only time we will have to go - personal reasons why this cannot wait. Therefore no need to explain why now is not the time or be careful - we will - we get that. Just suggested safe routes, easy access, camping suggestions really truly appreciated.....TIARe: Grand Canyon to Window Rock - Navajo Nation areasYes April and the winds were unrelenting - SO glad we were in the DP but even so driving was slow. It gave us more time to enjoy the beauty and vastness.Georgia to MaineHello fellow travelers and photographers Once again I am hear seeking your knowledge, experience and tips for a relatively short adventure (3 weeks) - round trip taking different routes heading to explore Maine from Georgia. Driving thru the southern states quickly to explore more of PA, NY, VT MOSTLY MAINE, NH, MA, CT and back down south again. Hoping to explore lakes in Maine from the northern most stop on the trip and back down coastal regions looking to see how we like it there in mid-late Summer. I use Furkot to plan our trips and Trip Advisor, Campendium, and here to get reviews. We travel with dogs and like privacy and views. Photography, quaint towns, local cuisine and history a plus. We are in a 41' Class A DP so always looking out for easiest approach and plenty of space. Looking forward to reading what you have to say as you guys have never steered me wrong (pun intended). Thank you in advance, LynnRe: Grand Canyon to Window Rock - Navajo Nation areasJust wanted to send an update - many thanks to all who sent tips and advise to me on this forum - we spent 6 glorious weeks on the road and have the most amazing photo filled adventure - despite high winds, dust storms, extreme allergy and heat - we enjoyed everything! Just had to keep an open mind, eyes on the road, take it slow and relax! The only thing we would do differently is take longer so we werent so rushed. You guys are amazing - I am about to begin a new thread on another adventure so I look forward to reading all of your tips. I would upload photos to show you how much fun we had but the only option is to link to URL and mine are on my external drive or in the cloud...take my word that I was able to shoot some of the best images of my life on this fabulous westward journey thanks to many of your tips! LynnRe: Grand Canyon to Window Rock - Navajo Nation areas@vermilye - wow Thank you - I saw that tour was available and had wondered if it was worthwhile - I can see that it is! Gorgeous work! LynnGrand Canyon to Window Rock - Navajo Nation areasHello RV travel wizards I am seeking advice and opinions regarding the need for reservations (no pun intended) and definitive scheduling to tour the areas leaving Grand Canyon - towards Arizona, Southern Utah, New Mexico with so much to see in and around the Navajo Nation - this would be first of April. I am a photographer and we are traveling in a 41' A class towing a 4 door Jeep with dogs. Thanks again - you guys have been super so far planning this 6 week journey from South Florida to Vegas/Grand Canyon...now to work on the return portions. LynnRe: Hot/Cold showerIce maker issue resolved - thanks to all the suggestions and fixes here! Working on hot/cold issue this week using suggestions here. I will post an update! Thanks to all!Re: Austin, El Paso, Tuscon, Phoenix TyroneandGladys wrote: FYI It looks like you might have dogs so you need to be very aware of Cholla cactus. Cholla cactus spines become airborne very easy this is where the nickname jumping cactus comes from. The ground can be covered with them. The spine are very fine and can get in a dogs paw very easily and because they are so fine they cannot be totally removed ending up with festering sores sometime all the way up to the top of the foot. Since dogs try to clean themselves the spines also end up in there mouth. There is Cholla almost everywhere but Lost Dutchman State Park does have a huge amount of Cholla. We do love that park but we are very careful when we walk our dog and closely exam the campsite ground. Yikes! Thanks for the heads up! Yes we will be with dogs - we usually travel with those 'balloon' type dog shoes for areas with spurs - I wonder if those would help in that areaRe: Austin, El Paso, Tuscon, Phoenix Lauren wrote: Catalina State Park is one of the best you will find. Just north of Tucson. Make reservations. Looking at this one as well - so far all booked but still checking for any cancellations
