They pull great especially in the mountains. The tow-haul mode on the trans is very impressive too, as is the ability to lockout upper gears. One word of advice - if you are at all interested in the big towing mirrors they've changed the packages on the 15+ and now you HAVE to order them separately - they are no longer included in the max tow. And they are EXPENSIVE to add after the fact - like they could be several thousand dollars depending on model and options. Get them for $275 as an option. This has been the only problem on my 15. We had it shipped over from another dealer and we thought it had them only to find out it didn't. I didn't think it was a big deal and went ahead and took the truck thinking I could easily do it later. A bunch of us on an F150 forum are still trying to figure out which one goes with which truck as there are something like 9 different mirrors.Re: Bathroom fan screen standoffReplacing with a new fan won't necessarily fix this - my new Heng replacement rubs on the screen too! Only in the middle where the blade attaches to the spindle. Every couple of days while using it I take the screen off and very gently bend the screen down, but you've given me a few ideas on a permanent fix. Thanks!Re: Recommendations for Replacing Jensen AWM960 Radio NeededI've been working on project related to this, but the stereo itself has been the last piece I haven't touched yet as we don't listen to music/tv throughout the trailer that much. What I have done though is taken out the old unit and used a piece of white plexiglass (our trailer is all white inside) that covers the old hole. I added a 12v plug outlet to one corner using the power feed in the old harness. Next steps are a couple of USB charging outlets in the panel and then a speaker selector of some kind. The selector is what is holding it up as I can't find one I like that will work for 3 pairs and that I can integrate into the panel. I might pick up something like this http://amzn.com/B004TBF90C and see if I can hack it apart so that I can just have the 3 switches in my panel with the guts hidden behind. Then the final piece would be a single DIN auto receiver with bluetooth and 3.5 in of which there are plenty.Re: Keystone OutbackMy brother has an 04 26RS and I bought an 08 Aerolite 26QS with virtually the same layout last year. He's had his for years and only had a problem this year when a leaf spring failed on a trip. Nice trailers.Re: GREEEN Couple... Some questionsHoo Boy you are going to get a lot of responses from people telling you you need to by an F350 or you are going to die, but ignore them. I towed an RPod with an 02 v6 taco without problems, but quickly decided our growing family needed more room. There are hundreds of threads talking about how to calculate towing capacity here, and maybe read a few of those. You can use an online calculator like this one too: http://changingears.com/rv-sec-calc-trailer-weight-tt.shtml Look into a trans cooler if you don't have one already, and you'll probably need a brake controller installed too. Those are the only things I had to do it make my taco a decent towing rig.Re: 12v Electrical IssuesWell the 12v fuse panel was the problem. I moved the positive feed from the existing bank to an unused one and everything is fine. I even reused the fuse. I wish I had an actual explanation but maybe a component on the board failed. I don't see anything obvious. Thanks for all the help.Re: 12v Electrical IssuesYup. Mine uses solid white for neg and this leg uses white with purp stripe for pos.Re: 12v Electrical IssuesI don't think so because I've bench tested the fan by itself and the fan with the PWM with a separate power supply. They both work fine and only pull 1.8A at full speed. Also just wiring the fan directly in without it doesn't work either. I don't know enough about how the distribution center works but at this point I think I've tested everything else.12v Electrical IssuesLast fall I replaced the crappy loud exhaust fan in the bathroom of my trailer with a heng fan, and added one of the cheap PWM controllers. I also added a switch on the wall(converted from single to double) so that you could operate the fan while seated. It worked great for awhile, but now the whole circuit is doing something odd, and I've checked all the wiring in the bathroom backwards and forwards to make sure I haven't cross wired anything. The circuit itself will test at 13.5 volts. Both wall switches work. But neither the dual lamp nor the fan will power on. I can get a small LED to power on but it is dim. I've bench tested both the fan and the lamp assembly with a 12v power supply and they are fine, and pull very little power. I tried just bare wiring the fan from the negative block to where the positive feed leaves the circuit board, and when I do it on that circuit the red light comes on and there is nothing. Trying it on any other circuit and it works. What's going on here? Is there something wrong with the circuit board? The fuse is fine. It's a WFCO-8935 in a circa 2008 trailer. Maybe I should try moving the feed to the bathroom to another block on the circuit board?Re: Solar, Controllers, and trying to stay warm on a budgetIt's 4 days. I think it's going to be all right now - I just pulled the trigger on a 100W panel and controller. :)
